The mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, and Council of Finance and Parks and Gardens, Maria Patrocinio Martinez and Isidro Carrasco, today visited the recently concluded work on improving the Plaza Gutiérrez Mellado, a large and busy recreation area, located in the urbanization Las Yuccas.
The work consisted in repairing the perimeter fencing of all beds, as well as those environmental elements that were damaged.
It has also replaced a portion of street furniture, since some bins were badly damaged, making new containers for different parts of the roundabout.
After clearing all existing weeds in gardens, have placed more than 2,100 m2 of artificial turf, which has helped improve the overall look of the garden area, resulting in a more compact image of green area.
Bartolome Hernandez explained, 'thanks to this performance and the addition of a new drip irrigation system, the City of Eagle achieve significant savings in water consumption'.
Similarly, looking beautify the environment, have carried out different paint jobs: floors, billboards, street furniture and playground, the latter also providing gum fall protection.
Also, in response to demands neighborhood, has installed a drinking water source.
Finally, the mayor of Eagle wanted to emphasize that "this action is a sum and remains in the enhancement of the squares of the town, an action plan that the municipal government launched at the beginning of this legislature, with which It is getting adapt these spaces for the use and enjoyment of citizens'.
