Eagles joins the commemoration of International Women's Day claiming equality (05/03/2015)

The mayor of the City of Eagle Woman, Maria Patrocinio Martinez, accompanied by the municipal engineer this area, Antonia Reche, this morning the acts which organized its council to commemorate International Women's Day.

Martinez said his department has coordinated a series of events in cooperation with different groups, which are invited to think about what a world in equality between women and men.

According to the council, while being aware of the progress made, this year we want to emphasize that equality is not a given for most women.

Therefore, the program includes a central event in which citizens of Eagle discuss successes, challenges, difficulties, hopes and new realities to achieve.

The full agenda meets the following proposals:

Friday, March 6:

At 10 am, guided tour to the Interpretation Center of the Sea (CIMAR) and the Railway Bridge and Tunnel Stove.

No pre-registration is necessary, interested must be submitted at the time indicated on the CIMAR.

Tuesday, March 10:

At 19:30 pm in the House of Culture Francisco Rabal, reading an institutional manifesto.

Also, members of various groups in the village, together with the students of creative writing workshops and literacy, read different texts.

The event will feature performances Eagles Gospel Choir and members singing workshop 'Creating Vibrate'.

Finally, we will hold the V International Festival of Poetry 'Scream Woman'.

Thursday, March 12:

Travel Cartagena to attend the National Congress of Housewives, Consumers and Users, which will focus on the importance of water resources under the slogan 'We are Water'.

Earlier in the Municipal Center for Women and headquarters of Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users 'Virgen de los Dolores' Eagles inscriptions.

Friday, March 13:

Closing of the exhibition '... Of them', which since last February 23 you can visit the Casa de Cultura Francisco Rabal, assigned by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage and the Regional Library of Murcia.

It is the collection of the work of illustrators thirteen women.

These artists make use of drawing and word as a strategy combining celebration and vindication of the feminine, leaving us to explore in images that reflect the particularities of their universes and flood readers pain, irony, humor and tenderness, between other sensations.

You can visit for 18-21 hours, Monday to Friday in the Exhibition Hall 'Manuel Coronado'.
