The image of the Christ of the Agony is the star of the poster for Easter Eagles which was presented yesterday, coinciding with the beginning of Lent, in the parish of San José, after the celebration of the traditional Mass known as the Wednesday Ash.
The mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno;
the mayor of Culture, Lucía Hernández;
and President of the Council of Guilds, Sebastián Muñoz, accompanied by representatives of all the guilds columbines, were responsible for discovering the image, work of photographer Juan Hernandez, who will serve to promote the Easter of the town this year will run from the 18 to 27 March.
The Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Agony, whose titular image is the work of renowned Sevillian sculptor José Rivera, is the protagonist of one of the processions more reflective and feel penitent few develop in the resort: popularly known as the Procession of Silence each Holy Thursday, at twelve o'clock, walking in silence and darkness columbines streets representing the last moments of the agony of Jesus Christ.
