The Department of Culture Department of Eagles reports of the first acts of the Carnival, which begin this Saturday in our city, extending until 28 February.
Saturday 14 February:
At 21.00 pm in the Macro-carnival tent, installed in the fishing port, with free admission by invitation, "Gran Gala Change of powers" between the characters of Carnival 2008 and 2009.

The event, which is expected to more than 2,000 people attend, will feature musical performances, such as "Diego Martin" and dance numbers by the Ballet Oficial de Peñas de Carnaval.
Likewise, the recognitions will be given masks and Golden Conch, to different recipients.
Sunday 15 February:
- From 9:00 pm in the urbanization "The Stove", next to the mall "Eagle Plaza", XV Duathlon "Carnival of Eagles."
The awards ceremony, attended by local authorities and the new characters of Carnival 2009 will take place at 14'00 hours.
- From 11.00 hours, departing from the Yacht Club, First Beam of the Eighth Race "Carnival of Eagles."
- At 13.00 pm in the Macro-Carp Carnival, with free admission, Carnival Special Concert, by the Board of Trustees Band Musical Columbine "Francisco Díaz Romero."
- At 19.00 pm in the Cultural Hall "Cajamurcia" with the presence of local authorities, opening of an exhibition tribute to Mariano Sánchez Gil, the works illustrate the book "A Walk in love" , by Manuel Coronado artists and Pep Bergas.

The works can be visited until 28 February.
- At 20:00 pm in the Macro-Carp Carnival, with free admission, IX Paper Costume Contest.
The event will feature different performances and the presentation of the amazing costumes created on paper, sponsored by different commercial firms.
