The municipality of Eagles has awarded the construction of a walkway that allows visitors to observe closely the operation of the "Molino del Saltaor."
The amount of work, funded entirely by the Directorate General of Local Government, Institutional and External Relations of the Ministry of the Presidency and Public Administrations of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, '86 amounted to € 66,214.
The works have already started, basically in the implementation of that bridge, including the foundation of it and the access ramp.
The gateway will be in steel structure and wooden flooring and railing.
This infrastructure is one of the most curious relics of the region.
This is an old mill that used as a driving force for the movement of the continuous course Amoladeras water collected through a pond, located 17 meters from where it falls eventually collide with a propeller that drives the turning crushed stones turning wheat into flour.
All designed with a water return system for it to succeed in times of drought.
The beauty of the place where you are and the uniqueness of a water mill in a dry area like ours, has led to the town of Aguilas to perform different jobs with the intention of recovering this infrastructure and adapt the environment where it is, for use as a place for sightseeing.
