The Neighborhood Association-AVA Aquilegia Eagles Citizen Forum reiterates the permanent abandonment to the City Council is submitting to certain parks, gardens, natural areas and, in general, suffers from poor maintenance that most Eagles green areas, not only by the municipal efforts to replace parts with plants or shrubs on synthetic turf or simply a paved but to demonstrate extreme carelessness in maintaining such spaces.
Paradoxically, this attitude collides with the constant increase in budgetary allocations to the company formally hired for cleaning and maintaining them.
A clear example of what is reported is the aspect of negligence that offers metal fence surrounding the gardens of the fishing port, an area in the heart of the city, visited daily by hundreds of people and preferred place for tourists and visitors.
The ornamental iron of this closure, with a total length close to hundred of meters, are bent largely oxidized by the action of the sea and even broken, offering sharp edges that can cause injuries and are a clear physical risk especially for smaller.
Several residents say the City Council ignored the warnings that have been sent to political leaders to repair the metal fence, is tidy with a coat of paint and, above all, to avoid the obvious risk of injury and metal rods that appear broken and tip.
AVA urges the competent council and ultimately to the Mayor, that will immediately fix the metal fence of the gardens of the Port, reserving its right to take legal action to hold accountable if there are any accidents in that area as a result of risk exposure.
