Eagles welcomed this weekend the XXX Romería Rociera of the Brotherhood of Ntra. Sra. Del Rocío de Águilas;
a meeting that brought together more than two thousand pilgrims who stood up to the strong wind to accompany for two days the "Sinpecado" that a mass of pilgrims, in the parish of San José, departed accompanied by the festive atmosphere, typical of this celebration, until the place of the Mill of the Saltaor.
As usual, the first stop of the cart occurred at the door of the City Hall where Blanca Paloma was greeted with a shower of flower petals.
Later the Virgen del Rocío, accompanied, among others, by the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the older brother of the Aguillan Brotherhood, Fernando Gallego, continued his way to the barracks of the Civil Guard, at which point it was held a floral offering and the Angelus was prayed.
An emotional moment in which also participated the four older brothers that the Brotherhood has had in these thirty years of history.
The pilgrims, after a stop at noon for lunch, reached their particular village of El Rocío after six o'clock on Saturday afternoon.
The night was received at the Molino del Saltaor with the procession of torches and the recitation of the rosary, without a doubt, two of the moments of greatest remembrance of this festival.
The day yesterday woke up with the morning mass that gave way to a day of dancing, singing and authentic brotherhood.
