The mayor of the town, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Finance, Tomás Consentino, yesterday presented the actions proposed by the Government Team, charged to the section of Financially Sustainable Investments, which will be developed in the town in the coming months after its approval in the Extraordinary Plenary to be held next Tuesday.
Before beginning with the enumeration of these projects, Consentino pointed out that "by financially sustainable investments we refer to those that can be executed with the remaining treasury or what is the same, with the saving of all the aquilines".
In this sense, the mayor of Finance explained that "although this remnant is just over six million euros, unfortunately the current legislation only allows us to use 669,298 euros, this is a figure well below what we would like" .
After disclosing these data, Consentino made public the actions that will be carried out, including the channeling of the ravine of Los Garriga, a performance to which a little more than 110,000 euros will be allocated and which is the previous step for the necessary extension of the municipal cemetery.
The largest budget amount, over 300,000 euros, will correspond to the bike lane that circles the municipality, "an action, which was part of our commitment to citizens, which we are already working on and which will be completed before the end of the year".
Also related to the bike lane is the investment of 30,000 euros in the traffic light installation at the roundabout of Las Culebras, which will connect the two sections of the aforementioned lane.
The channeling of the last section of the right bank of the Las Culebras ravine will receive just over 115,000 euros from the Financially Sustainable Investments section.
Finally, in the renovation of lighting and telephony infrastructures in Calabardina 36,000 euros will be invested, while in the acquisition of furniture for parks, mainly inclusive games and machinery of gerontogimnasia, 31,000 euros.
