The councilman of Sports of the City of Águilas, Cristóbal Casado, was in charge of receiving yesterday the Cordovan athlete who is developing the Transibérico Challenge, a project that is born from a sports initiative with a solidary purpose.
This challenge, which is carried out by a Cordovan athlete with 41% disability, aims to travel 3782 kilometers in 38 consecutive stages, combining running and cycling, with an average of 100 kilometers per day until getting to cross the Iberian Peninsula, being Águilas goal of one of the stages.
The objective of this solidary challenge is to provide a medical team to the rehabilitation center of the association Sonrisas de Lunares with which to provide coverage to children who require physiotherapy caused by any disease and have no financial possibilities to access it.
