The City of Águilas and Hidrogea have renewed the agreement for the application of the Social Water Bonus, an initiative launched last year, which aims to help families in a situation of economic precariousness to face the payment of the supply of water. water and sewerage and that this year, announced the mayor of Finance, Tomás Consentino, has been extended not only to families at risk of social exclusion but also to pensioners with remunerations below the minimum interprofessional salary.
This Social Bonus has an endowment of 60,000 euros.
It should be noted that the Social Services of the City Council will manage the requests for help, contrasting and valuing the information of the applicants and approving, if necessary, according to the established criteria, the help for the payment of water and sewer bills.
Once the request is resolved, Social Services will send Hidrogea the list of approved applications so that the resolution can be executed.
Citizens in situation of economic precariousness residing in Águilas with an individual water supply contract with Hidrogea will be eligible for this aid.
The aid will only be applicable in those contracts in which the service is provided in the dwelling that constitutes the habitual residence.
