The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the councilors of Tourism and Environment, Ginés Desiderio Navarro and Isabel María Torrente, yesterday attended the hoisting of the Blue Flags, Quality Q and Ecoplayas obtained by the municipality.
In total, there are twelve Blue Flag awards that have been flying in the town since yesterday;
nine of them on the beaches of Las Delicias, Levante, La Colonia, Poniente, Calarreona, La Higuerica, La Carolina, Matalentisco and La Casica Verde, which premiered this year;
two in the Juan Montiel and Club Náutico de Águilas marinas and one the Interpretation Center of the Sea (CIMAR).
Some flags that make Águilas in the municipality of the Region with the highest number of awards and to which we must also add six Q of quality and five Eco-beaches.
