The Manuel Coronado exhibition hall, located in the Francisco Rabal House of Culture, hosts until the next day 10 an exhibition of works made in patchwork, a dressmaking technique, very fashionable in recent years, which consists of joining fragments of different fabrics to make bedspreads, bags, cushions, tablecloths, clothing, decorative elements ...
The exhibition, which was opened by the mayor of Equality, Isabel María Torrente, exposes the work done by the participants, under the direction of Aurora Piñeiro, in the Patchwork Workshop developed by the Municipal Center for Women.
It should be noted that during the six months that the course lasted the participants have also made a collection of cushions for breast cancer patients that will be delivered to the AECC and the Oncology Unit of the Rafael Méndez Hospital.
These heart-shaped pads are placed under the armpit and produce numerous therapeutic benefits.
