Next September, Águilas will begin the transformation process of the entire exterior lighting system with the change of 7,966 luminaires that will use LED technology, also incorporating modern flow regulation systems.
The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, recently signed a joint contract with Ferrovial for supplies and integral external lighting service in the municipality of Águilas to carry out this change.
After the act, the first aquiline mayor stressed that "this transformation of the lighting of our municipality will mean a reduction in energy consumption of 67.5% and what is more important a decrease in environmental impact, in numbers, will mean a decrease of 1,807 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to 1,000 cars circulating during a whole year ".
