The Águilas City Council and the cleaning service concessionaire, Entorno Urbano, have launched a campaign aimed at raising awareness among citizens about the correct use of containers.
On this matter, the mayor of the area, Isabel Fernandez, stressed that "it is essential, and especially in summer, respect the schedule to take out the garbage, thus preventing it from accumulating for hours in the sun leading to unpleasant odors, as well as to the proliferation of rodents. "
Under the slogan "Do not spoil the effort of all", the City Council and Urban Environment intends to make an appeal to the neighbors to comply with the schedule of removal of garbage (after 20 hours in summer) and so, in addition , the waste is deposited in closed bags inside the container.
The campaign, which will be developed in several phases, has begun with a first informative stage through posters.
