Águilas City Council has already begun talks with various tour operators after the announcement of the imminent closure, by judicial decision, of the Águilas Playa Hotel.
On this matter, the mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, regretted that despite all the attempts by the City Council so that the hotel establishment did not close its doors finally, and after an act of conciliation between the owner of the property and the current tenant who failed to resolve positively, a court ruling has forced such closure.
Navarro, who has described as "lamentable news" this closure, has assured that "from the City we do not enter to assess the ruling, since it is a dispute between two companies, but what we are doing is establishing contacts with different operators to so that the hotel reopens its doors as soon as possible and that, in addition, most of the staff can rejoin.
