The Autonomous Community grants the City of Águilas 11,030 euros to subsidize 110 places in the summer school of the municipality, a resource that responds to the need for family and work reconciliation of parents during their children's vacations.
It is a space where the integration, learning and coexistence of children is fostered, for this a participatory and integrative methodology is used, centered on the needs of each child.
The basic requirement to access this service is that both parents are busy, working, receiving training for employment or actively seeking employment.
The general director of Women and Equality of Opportunities, Alicia Barquero, together with the mayor of the town, Marí Carmen Moreno, visited the school today, located in the public school Mediterráneo.
The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities finances recreational and educational projects for non-school periods intended for children between 3 and 12 years old, the extension of school hours, extracurricular activities and babysitting or punctual care services.
The regional government this year allocated 402,000 euros to subsidize directly to municipalities the implementation of municipal conciliation services.
One of the projects funded at the suggestion of the consistories are summer schools with a cafeteria, requested by several municipalities.
