One more year, the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel will host The Beach of Books, a literary party open to authors, publishers and readers, where publishers and writers from the Region of Murcia will promote their books in direct contact with the public, in an event sponsored by the Department of Culture of the City of Águilas.
The big fair will take place on Sunday 5, from 10.30 am and uninterrupted until 8.30 pm.
It is expected that more than sixty authors meet on the terrace of the hotel, which will be filled with books (about 3,000 copies of all genres will be exposed).
The musical animation, during the morning of Sunday, will be borne by the singer Amarela, while in the afternoon it will be Emilio Soler, poet, musician and panochist who animates a contest
of poetry open to all, authors and the general public, and in which prizes will be raffled.
Also, there will be storytellers by actor Raúl Rey, a classic in La Playa de los Libros.
Success of the 2nd edition of Letters from the Sand
The II edition of the National Letter Competition from the Arena, which will be delivered on Saturday 4, at 6.30 pm, on the terrace of the hotel, has been a successful participation.
Thus, a total of 74 letters have been received from places like Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Asturias, Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, Almeria, Granada, Malaga, and, of course, different points of the Region of Murcia.
The winners will receive their prizes (two nights for two people at the Puerto Juan Montiel hotel and a tourist package offered by the Department of Tourism of Águilas, for the winner, a day at the hotel, with lunch or dinner and Celta circuit Spa, plus of the corresponding tourist package for the second most valued letter by the jury).
Poetry and music recital
After the awards ceremony of the II National Letter Competition from the Arena, a musical poetic recital will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the terrace of the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, by Magdalena Sánchez Blesa, a poet from Puerto Lumbreras who has obtained a extraordinary recognition at the national level with his new work, 'Instructions to my children';
Dolores Ibarra, aquiline author, who is triumphing with her first work 'The embrace of the blue lady';
and the singer-songwriter Amarela.
Table cinema
Juan Albarracín (18-year-old novelist and with two published novels and several premiere short films) will be responsible for conducting a very special short film dinner on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
They will participate together with the very young Albarracín (from whom 'Uno de noviembre' will be screened), Fran J. Marber and Bernardo Hernández (with his short film 'Invisible War'), Juan Bermúdez ('Contratiempo') and Paolo Natale ('Garden of Ashes') , the latter still to be confirmed, various gifts will be raffled off among the attending public.
