This afternoon begins the XXIII edition of Mirando al Mar;
a series of conferences included in the programming that Universidad Internacional del Mar develops every summer in Águilas.
The paper "Around looking at the sea", by Ramón Jiménez Madrid, will mark the beginning of an edition that, said the director of the same, Jorge Novella, "aims to mark a cartography of the rich aquiline culture, introducing some themes that had not been discussed so far. "
It should also be noted that the opening day of this afternoon will be preceded by the official act of appointment of Ramón Jiménez Madrid as Son of Eagles (19.30).
Wednesday 8 will be the aquiline gastronomy Esther Soto, along with restorers José Rodríguez (El Poli), Daniel Méndez (Garum) and Juan Francisco Paredes (El Refugio), responsible for addressing issues related to "Gastronomy and cooking in Águilas: Yesterday and today".
"Music in Águilas through time" will be the presentation offered by the musicologist Fernando Lillo on Friday 10.
This lecture series will be completed by the talk "The Águilas de Novela Prize half a century later" (Thursday 16), offered by Pascual Gálvez, and "Gustavo Gillman and the railroad in Águilas" (Friday 17), by Gustavo Roberto Gillman Mellado.
All conferences will be held at 8:00 pm at the Francisco Rabal House of Culture.
