The Águilas City Council, through the cleaning service concessionaire, continues with the campaign aimed at pet owners aimed at taking responsibility for the urine and excrement of their pets.
This campaign, which began last December and has continued uninterrupted since then, has made possible the distribution of 5,000 bottles with the aim that these are filled with a mixture of equal parts of water and vinegar preventing this way the appearance of spots that the micturitions of the dogs cause in the corners, facades and public furniture.
In parallel, the cleaning services are making use of a product, totally innocuous for dogs, which repels the urine of dogs and cats because, when being pulverized, its aromatic properties affect the animals eliminating the acquired habits of urinating in places unwanted
On this matter, the mayor of the area, Isabel Fernandez, has insisted that the use of sulfur by neighbors is a prohibited practice and penalized by the dangers involved.
Also, the council has pointed out that along with the distribution of these bottles the City has also developed throughout the summer a campaign to deliver beach ashtrays in order to bathers do not deposit their waste on the sand.
