The Popular Party presents to the Plenary a proposal for amending the Regulatory Ordinance of the Tax on Real Estate
The popular councilor, Mª Patrocinio Martínez, has presented a motion to the ordinary plenary of September, so that the Ordinance regulating the IBI in our municipality can be modified
According to the councilwoman, the increase in the tax on immovable property, both on rural and urban properties, is causing important damages for the domestic economies and also for small farmers.
At present, the taxable base of the tax is increasing annually and although this year there has been a downward revision of the cadastral values, the receipts of IBI continue to rise.
The city council is not lowering the tax rate enough and every year it enters more for this tax.
Explains the popular mayor that, the increase of the receipt of the urban IBI must be added a new tax pressure that are suffering on all types of real estate that involve occupation of rustic land and that until now were not subject to contribution as are the hydrants, implement rooms, rafts, etc., necessary elements for agricultural work.
The City of Águilas has room to maneuver to alleviate, as far as possible, the serious consequences of this tax increase due to the increase in the liquid bases, and it can do so by means of a sufficient modification to the low of the tax rate of the IBI urban and rustic to 0,680, which is currently 0,800.
A drop in taxes on urban and rural estates that would be an important aid for family economies.
