The councilman of the Municipal People's Group, Carlos A. Bartolomé, makes an assessment of unemployment figures published by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia, which show the devastating figure of the increase in 130 unemployed in the town, 130 people more than they enter in the lists of unemployed.
The number of unemployed in Águilas to September 30 is 2281 compared to 2151 registered at the end of August, one of the largest increases in the number of unemployed in recent years, which if we join as we have done in previous months, the decline in active population in Águilas, that is to say, aquilians registered in the locality that are of working age, makes the data even more worrisome.
Particularly, says the mayor, it is important the number of unemployed women that has increased by 88. And all this despite the fact that the number of contracts registered in the month of September amounts to 1715, of which only 162 are indefinite, is say only 9.44 of them, which shows that most of the contracts were eventual, most of them by days, even by hours.
As we had pointed out from the Popular Party of Eagles, something is not doing well from the Government Team of Mari Carmen Moreno in the City of Águilas, it is time to put hands once and for all, to make productive policies for the locality, inviting investment to generate employment, and stop complacency and photographic reports and work at once for what is really important, which is nothing other than generating wealth, employment and welfare for the aquiline.
