As announced last week, this year Participatory Budgeting, an example of the commitment to transparency and participation with citizenship and presented under the slogan "Make Eagles among all", have as main novelty the proposal of four actions that may be voted by citizens until next November 30.
Some proposals that were presented yesterday by the councilors of Participación Ciudadana and Hacienda, Luis López and Tomás Consentino, respectively, and among which are:
- Construction of an access ramp in Las Culebras ravine with an estimated budget of 60,000 euros.
This action will connect the rambla area with the road, thus facilitating the performance of sports events without the need for traffic cuts, as well as facilitating the cleaning of the aforementioned rambla.
- Improvement of the green area of ​​Montemar with an estimated budget of 45,000 euros that would also include the construction of an inclusive park in the area.
- Arrangement of the green area located on Virgen de Fátima Street with an estimated budget of 100,000 euros that would serve to improve and provide functionality with an original design space that is currently practically impractical.
- Creation of a green area located on Calle Españoleto with an estimated budget of 30,000 euros for the adaptation of a green space next to Paseo de Poniente.
The mayor of Participación Ciudadana recalled that the game allocated to Participatory Budgeting can not exceed 150,000 euros so, once the period of citizen voting, "will be included within the budgets most voted projects to reach the maximum economic amount" .
The objective is to involve citizens in what affects them directly and to do so, from the councils involved, different channels have been launched, such as: the Citizen Participation Facebook Águilas, the application on the website of the City Council of Águilas, a specific email for contributions to participatory budgets (participaguilas@gmail.com) and also through whatsApp (689055226), as well as the neighborhood assemblies convened through the Municipal Boards.
