One more year, the balcony of the City of Águilas dresses in pink as a symbol of the fight against breast cancer.
A symbolic act that is part of the activities scheduled to mark the World Day Against Breast Cancer to be held tomorrow October 19 and which has participated the mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the president of the Local Board of the AECC , Magdalena Ros, and the members of the group Much to Live.
Every year, on October 19, the Day Against Breast Cancer is celebrated as a reminder of the commitment of the whole society in the fight against breast cancer.
Raising awareness among women about the importance of knowing breast self-examination techniques, periodic check-ups and mammograms are essential to be able to detect it in time.
Early diagnosis is vital because it depends on the chances of cure, which can be 100% if detected early.
