The number of unemployed registered in the Employment Office decreased by 62 people during the month of October, from 2,281 in September to 2,219 in October, according to the latest data published by the Employment and Training Service of the Murcia SEF.
The mayor of Local Development, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, has reported that, in addition, in interannual data the decline of unemployed is estimated at 162 people
The mayor stressed that the data are clear and reflect a downward trend.
"Thus, while the regional data in October reflect an increase in the number of unemployed registered in public offices, in Águilas not only is not so, but also has decreased the number of unemployed," said the mayor.
In this sense, the councilor recalled that, although it is true that the municipalities do not have skills in matters of job creation, what they can is to work to provide incentives to entrepreneurs who want to settle in the locality all the necessary facilities part of the local administration.
On the other hand, the number of members has also registered very positive figures, with an increase of 791 contracts compared to the previous month.
These figures, the mayor has concluded, "should motivate us to continue working on policies that result in job improvements for all residents of Águilas."
