Last weekend, November 3 and 4, 2018, the Guides and Subguies course of the Scout Federation of Explorers of Murcia took place in our town, in which this year the Severo Montalvo Scout Group is the host.

Almost 300 participants from all corners of the Region of Murcia, enjoyed the opportunities offered by Águilas to carry out this course.

This consists of giving training, as its name suggests, to the patrol guides and sub-guides.

That they are leaders within the small self-serving groups in which the Scout section is divided.

Actually, the scouts (scout educators) intervene little in this section.

It is the kids in their patrols that really work and organize themselves.

Hence the need to give a specific training.

The activity was carried out in the fenced enclosure next to Burguer King.

There, the camp was set up and all the necessary infrastructure to attend to all visitors.

The park that is next to this, was the chosen place to give the different sessions and games.

The inauguration was held on Saturday morning and we had the presence of the Councilor for Youth Cristobal Casado.

In this, all the scouts welcomed Eduardo Noguera Valero, responsible for Scouting and Programs Education;

Miguel Gambín Marín;

Coordinator of Scout Branch of EXMU and Ramón Zaragoza Rondán Coordinator of GS Severo Montalvo.

During the night, a festival and a dance activity took place.

On Sunday, the activity continued and we had the visit of Ginés Desiderio Navarro Councilor for Tourism.

After the last sessions.

It was possible to enjoy a great paella.

As scouts we must leave the world better than we found it, we made a collection of papers and plastics around the environment.

Finally, diplomas were given to all participants by Daniel López Ferrer President of the Scout Federation of Explorers of Murcia.
