The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Igualdad, Isabel María Torrente, visited yesterday the facilities of the José Noguera school where they have started two training programs aimed at Roma women.
The action, included within the programs of Integral Social Attention for the Gypsy People, is co-financed by the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) and the City Council of the town.
Specifically, it is a cutting and sewing course, which was developed last year with great success, and another, new in this edition, of aesthetics.
The purpose of these actions is to promote the promotion of the collective, its development, participation and social integration, and prevent exclusion, while favoring the improvement of the qualification and access to employment of the Roma population and, on the other hand, it offers to the women who participate in it a space of encounter and coexistence.
