On November 14, users and workers of AFEMAC participated in the III edition of the "Festivarte, a look at art from the heart" event organized by the Association of Families and People with Mental Illness of the Northwest Region (AFEMNOR), and that defends the use and enjoyment of art in all its manifestations as a form of normalization and social inclusion for people with some type of disability.
The event brought together more than 350 people from different associations in the region, who deal with different disabilities.
The performances covered very different artistic disciplines, such as dance, theater, batucada and live music, among others.
AFEMAC participated this year with a carnival choreography that encouraged the audience to dance.
The day ended with the presentation of awards to the participants and the traditional meal of conviviality.
From AFEMAC Mental Health we thank the hosts for their warm welcome, hoping to participate again in future editions.
