The Health Minister announces the functional plan and project deadlines for the new center, whose works will be awarded in the second half of next year
The High Resolution Integral Center (CIAR) of guilas will house 15 specialty consultations, two operating theaters, the Primary Care Emergency Service (SUAP) and the 061 base, the mental health and physiotherapy unit.
In this way, in a single visit the patient can be treated by several specialists and surgery will be performed without admission, which will reduce waiting times.

The new center of 6,667 square meters will be built on a plot of 10,075 meters located on Juan Ramn Jimnez Street, and will invest 8.8 million.
The area of specialties will house the consultations of Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Traumatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, as well as polyvalent consultations, gypsum room and special explorations.

women's care unit with maternity consultations and lactation education room;
gyneco-obstetric unit, surgical area;
radiology area with mammography, CT and ultrasound and displaced device with two consultations of family doctor and two of nursing.
The implementation of this new health model in the health area of Lorca will mean "more and better benefits for users, which will allow us to speed up the care of patients with chronic diseases, since several processes will be addressed in a single medical visit ", said the counselor, who stressed that this new resource means" a closer access to the specialized assistance of the population, with higher quality of services, because it will give an efficient response in less time ".
Deadlines
Once the mandatory geotechnical study has been carried out, the bidding for the drafting of the project will begin, and it is expected that the works will be awarded in the second semester of next year.
The regional network of High Resolution Comprehensive Centers, which will be based in Murcia, guilas, Jumilla and in the Santa Mara del Rosell hospital in Cartagena, will make citizens gain in comfort and efficiency.
With the development of the guilas project and the one already initiated in Cartagena, a high resolution operative network is set up with multidisciplinary areas of diagnosis and treatment and with operating rooms for ambulatory surgery.
The total budget for the five centers reaches 60 million euros.
