Gins Desiderio Navarro, mayor of Tourism, Local Development and Training, has participated in the Round Table "Recovery, conservation and tourism potential of the architectural, archaeological and speleological rural heritage, Experiences", within the Meetings for the Development "Soy Rural" , organized by the Campoder Local Action Group, have been held in Totana.
In the round table, the project of "Valorization of defensive systems in guilas" has been presented, with which three of the "resistance points - bunkers" located in our municipal area will be recovered, specifically the two located next to the beach of Matalentisco, in front of the campsite, and the one located between Cala Tortuga and Calarreona, reverting them to their original state and providing them with information referring to their history, as well as to the environmental and landscape values of their environment.
These bunkers were built during the Spanish Civil War as part of the advanced coastal defenses of the Naval Base of Cartagena, fearing that landings would occur in this strip of the coast.
In the same way, during these meetings, it has been distributed, among the assistants, tourist information of guilas, as well as the new Network of Trails of Eagles, recently presented.
