The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'SOTOS', an investigation established to clarify the theft with violence and intimidation committed against a woman in the municipality of Águilas, which has been settled with identification, location, detention and subsequent judicial disposition of a known delinquent of the locality.
The events took place at midday on December 26, when a neighbor of the municipality, 70 years, was walking through a central street of Eagles and was approached by the back by an individual.
In a surprise maneuver, the young man struggled violently until he managed to snatch her bag, at which point the woman lost her balance and fell to the ground in a daze.
The victim was wounded in one hand and a concussion in the head.
The facts were reported to the Benemérita, who initiated the corresponding investigation to identify and detain the suspect, a young man who, according to his physical characteristics, coincided with the identity of a known delinquent in the area, with a bulky criminal record.
The investigations carried out and the indications obtained by the investigators allowed to determine their presumed participation in the investigated crime, for which a broad police device was established to stop it.
Recently, agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Eagles, have located and arrested the suspect as alleged perpetrator of robbery with violence and intimidation resulting in injuries.
The Spanish detainee, 27 years old, neighbor of Aguilas and with a bulky criminal history and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Lorca (Murcia).
