The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Sports, Cristóbal Casado, have shown their satisfaction at hearing the news that Águilas will host the 2020 World Military Triathlon Championship. The City Council expressed their gratitude to all the personnel of the Municipal Sports Board, as well as the federative leaders who with their work have contributed to this achievement.

The official presentation of the same, by the City Council and the Royal Guard, will take place once the definitive date for the celebration of the World Cup has been determined.
