The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, attended yesterday the inauguration of the International Airport of Murcia;

an act presided by King Felipe VI and in which the Minister of Development, José Luis Ábalos, was also present.

After the opening ceremony, the first mayor highlighted the importance of this infrastructure for the tourist development of the Region, insisted on the vindication of a connection, via public transport, between the airport and the municipality of Águilas.

In this regard, Moreno said that "from the City we are going to demand that the Regional Government start up this connection as soon as possible."
