This morning the IES Alfonso Escámez has organized a series of activities on the occasion of the festival of St. Thomas Aquinas as the traditional chocolate, table tennis tournaments, chess, patchis, tire change, crêpe workshops, karaoke, etc. .
The center also organized, in collaboration with the AMPA, the City Council of Águilas, through the Department of Education, Carnival and Citizen Security and Sports and Youth, Carrefour Águilas, the social work of La Caixa and Prima-Ram, the IV CAREER SOLIDARITY IES ALFONSO ESCÁMEZ.
This race has been developed by the outside of the center and it has involved the entire educational community (students, teachers, non-teaching staff and parents), as well as the 6th year of Primary Education at El Rubial and El Urci.
To register the runners have donated non-perishable food that has been delivered to Cáritas Parroquial San José Águilas.
The ediles of Companies providing Services and Cemetery, Isabel Fernández Martínez, and Senior Citizens, Celebrations and Commerce, Encarnación Navarro Guerrero, gave the exit to the different categories.
At the end of the race, the IES Alfonso Escámez has delivered a check worth 500 euros donated by the Obra Social of La Caixa and about 800 kilos of food and hygiene products to Cáritas Águilas.
