About 1,200 troops will ensure the safety of aquilines and visitors during the upcoming Carnival, according to the Mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the Government delegate in Murcia, Diego Conesa, and the general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies , José Ramón Carrasco, after the celebration, yesterday, of the Local Security Board in which the most important aspects of the 2019 Carnival Specific Emergency Plan have been announced.
Among the most outstanding aspects, it should be noted, as happened the year, the presence of private security titled in the accesses to all the points of the parade, as well as to the acts of greater affluence of public, among them the Change of Powers.
In the same way, and for the third consecutive year, access to the Plaza de España will once again be controlled in order to avoid bottle drinking in this area;
Likewise, there will be a permanent presence of 38 GRS members throughout the Carnival days, as well as a Red Cross campaign hospital and a permanent ambulance in the area of ​​La Colonia.
Among the novelties stands out the installation, after the unanimous approval of all the members of the Plenary Session of the City Council, of a violet point;
a safe space to which any woman can go to report any type of aggression or ask for help (practical or psychological) in the face of abuse or discrimination.
At a general level, as reported by the municipal authorities, the participation of members belonging to the Municipal Emergency Service, Civil Protection, Private Security, Local Police, Fire, Technical Services, Civil Guard, Red Cross, 061, SUE and other services is scheduled. public and private.
