Tomorrow will be awarded the construction of a new section of the bike path between Águilas and Calabardina.
This has been the announcement made by the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, who has anticipated that this new lane will connect the two existing lanes, resulting in a five-kilometer lane that will bypass the entire municipality.
Moreno recalled that "one of the commitments of this Government Team was the construction of a bike lane that joined Aguilas with the district of Calabardina and we are working on that".
The projected section, which will be awarded tomorrow, consists of the execution of a bike-pedestrian lane between the round of the Industrial Estate and the one located at the height of the weekly market.
The layout of the same will be parallel to the ring road except for a section that will run through the green zone.
In the same line, Moreno has stated that the traffic light installation will proceed at the Calabardina roundabout, which will allow to securely connect the entire lane layout executed so far and, at the same time, regulate traffic during the months of summer when this road is very busy.
