Last Friday Águilas Plaza Shopping Center celebrated its traditional Carnival Festival for the Elderly, which has had another year with the presence of the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno and the mayor of the Third Age, Encarna Navarro.
On this occasion, Fundown users and the Urci Occupational Center have also joined the Fiesta, taking care to encourage the elderly by spreading joy and a lot of progress.
Along with the representatives of the two residences for the elderly, the Alzheimer Águilas Association, Fundown and CO Urci, the manager of the Shopping Center, Gema Simó, the manager of Carrefour Águilas, Jaime Orquín, and the authorities have elected the Reyes and Queens of the Carnival.
Their Carnival Majesties of the San Francisco Residence have been Rafael Díaz and Ana María Bravo;
of the Residence of Railwaymen have been crowned Juan José Espeja and María Moreno;
of the Alzheimer Association Águilas have been elected King and Queen of the Carnival Rufo Martínez and María García;
and in CO Urci the lucky ones have been Ginés Lorenzo Piñero and Tania López.
Between dances and carnival music they have enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Coffee Center and have fought their particular battle of shells.
From Águilas Plaza Shopping Center, they thanked the participating associations and entities for the great work they do and they have reached out to them for future collaborations.
