The mayor of Seguridad Ciudadana, Vicente Ruiz, presented recently, together with the councilman of Carnival, Cristóbal Casado, and the deputy chief of the Local Police of Águilas, José Luis Sánchez, the new security fences that will be installed in the town on the occasion of the Carnival parties.
These are barriers designed to stop vehicles, preventing them from moving towards places of concentration of people.
In addition, the Local Police will also complete the armoring with the placement of heavy vehicles at critical intersections in the locality.
The mayor of Public Safety stressed "that, although these measures of armoring have already been taken in the last two years, the novelty is that these fences, guaranteeing the same effectiveness as the cement blocks that were previously installed, allow to be displaced with greater ease in case of emergency thanks to a mobile anchoring system ".
The placement of these elements is part of the preventive actions taken by the City Council to ensure the safety of these parties.
