Under the motto "Not a step back" was presented yesterday the program of activities prepared by the Department of Equality on the occasion of the celebration, tomorrow March 8, International Women's Day.
The mayor of the area, Isabel Torrente, stressed that among the activities proposed for tomorrow stands at 11.30 am the performance of the batukada;
at 12 o'clock the reading of the institutional manifesto;
and at 12:30 the act Let's sing for equality, by the women of the reading-writing workshop;
Acts, all of them, that will take place in the Plaza de España.
On Sunday 17 will take place the activity A literary walk through the streets of Murcia, by Paco López Mengual.
The departure for this activity will be at 9 am on the esplanade of Icarus (previous registration).
On Tuesday 19, at the Casa de Cultura, the exhibition Huellas del habitar by the artist Alba Milán will be inaugurated.
Also the House of Culture will be held on Wednesday 27 at 8 pm the IX Festival of Poetry and Art "Scream of woman".
On Friday 29, at 10.30 pm in the Auditorium, different choreographic workshops organized by the Conservatory of Dance of Murcia are planned;
while at 21 o'clock on the beach of La Colonia the Spartan concert will be held with the performances of La otra and I do not know them.
On Saturday 30 at 9:00 in the Auditorium will take place the theatrical performance Yerma, by DobleK Teatro.
The program of events will be closed by the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users, in charge of organizing the third edition of the Women's Day Awards.
The event will take place on April 11 at El Tiburón restaurant during a meal open to the public upon registration and reservation.
