The Municipal Sports Center will host tomorrow the 1st Conference on Sports and Disability, an event organized by the City of Águilas with the aim - noted the first mayor Aguileña, Mari Carmen Moreno - "to continue advancing in the bid to make Águilas an inclusive municipality" .
In this sense, Moreno noted that the program of the conference has been developed in a coordinated manner with the Municipal Council for Disability, a body recently created and included in the I Plan for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Águilas.
During the press conference, Manuel Guillén, president of the Levante Adapted Sports Club, stressed that "the celebration of these days, which will serve to raise awareness about disability and publicize adapted sports, aims to be the seed of the commitment to creation of adapted clubs in Águilas ".
Activity program:
9.30 am: Presentation of the stands of the associations.
From 10 to 12 h: Training and aquatic therapies.
From 10 to the end of the day: wheelchair disability circuit.
From 11.30 to 12.30: Archery.
12 to 13: Futsal match.
13:30: Reading of manifesto and presentation of elite athletes in adapted sport.
In parallel there will be a Joëlette chair exhibition and sports talks.
