With the satisfaction of the fulfilled but conscious commitment, also, that there is still much to do, the general secretary of the Socialists, current mayor of Águilas and mayoral candidate, Mari Carmen Moreno, yesterday renewed her commitment to the citizens of the municipality in the course of the act of presentation of the candidacy with which the PSOE will attend the next elections on May 26.
The red room of the Auditorium and Congress Palace Infanta Doña Elena was too small to accommodate the large audience that wanted to wrap up with his presence a candidacy that, Moreno said, "brings together youth and experience, it is a list that has been renewed by almost 50% - he continued saying - because I consider it vital that political parties open up to people who, without having political experience, are excellent professionals in their fields ".
Mari Carmen Moreno spoke in an emotional speech that began with a review for four years in which "being mayor of my town has allowed me to meet struggling and committed people, citizens who with their initiative and the support of the City Council They have managed to make Águilas an inclusive, more social and more just municipality. "
He also addressed the business and agricultural sector which he said "are the great job creators of our municipality and to which the administration has the duty to expedite and facilitate their work".
The current mayor and mayoral candidate defended on the stage, once again, transparency in the administrative field and the importance of continuing to bet on participation.
"The policy should be in the hands of the citizens of Águilas, with an open mayoralty from which they continue to work for and for people," he said.
With the support of a completed electoral program and thanking all the members of the current government team for having made it possible, Moreno put the emphasis on some of the proposals with which he will attend the elections next May and with which he will continue working to make Águilas a healthier, more livable municipality, with more opportunities and much more social.
The leader of the aquiline socialists counted on the support of Rosalía Casado, current councilor of Social Services and Health and candidate for regional deputy, who wanted to express her commitment to "continue working for Águilas, now from the Regional Government, to ensure that the demands in sanitary matters they are finally heard and that Águilas has at one time the highly demanded and necessary High Resolution Integral Center ".
He also wanted to show his support for the candidacy of men and women that was presented yesterday, Diego Conesa, candidate for the autonomic presidency, who said that "the project of the Region that we want to develop necessarily involves coordinated work with all the municipalities and in the that there will be two priority projects: the increase of the training offer for Águilas and the improvement of health ".
