The church of San José was the scene of the fifteenth edition of the Exaltación a la Saeta contest Villa de Águilas that every year, on dates close to the Holy Week of the town, organizes the Tradition and Folklore association, under the direction of Félix Cano, in collaboration with the Department of Culture.
The saetera Argentina achieved the unanimous applause of the public, among which were the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Culture, Lucía Hernández;
the president of the Cabildo, José Cáceres;
and numerous representatives of local brotherhoods.
This year, in addition, there was the presence of José María Muñoz, in charge of staging the lyrics of Pasión, the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Musical Group, the Rociero de Águilas Choir and the Gospel Choir.
