AFEMAC has actively participated in the activities that the University of Murcia has organized this 2019 in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which began last February and which will continue until the end of April, the month dedicated to the objectives of Health and Welfare.
From this perspective, mental health has been represented by different associations in our region.
In the case of AFEMAC, one of its users, Andrés de la Roche, has had the opportunity to exhibit one of his works at the Mental Health Entities Artists Exhibition, which was inaugurated on April 5 in the Sala de Exhibitions of the University Social Center of the Espinardo Campus.
Remember that this young aquiline artist has had the opportunity to exhibit his works on previous occasions and in different places: the first time at the "Francisco Rabal" House of Culture of Águilas, coinciding with World Mental Health Day in an exhibition where the more than 30 works of which he is the author were shown;
In addition, Andrés has also exhibited at the XVII National Painting Contest "Art without barriers" organized by the national association AMIAB of integral attention to people with disabilities last December and in the Adult Rehabilitation Unit of Area III (URA) of the neighbor city of Lorca.
The use of art in all its forms as a means of expressing emotions has a high therapeutic value, which is why, from AFEMAC, we appreciate this type of initiative.
