Águilas has once again become the municipality of the Region with the largest number of Blue Flags.
In total there will be twelve distinctive signs that will be flown this year in the municipality, as was announced this morning by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (Adeac), responsible in Spain for the delivery of the same.
Specifically, the beaches of Las Delicias, Levante, La Colonia, Poniente, Calarreona, La Higuerica, La Carolina, Matalentisco and La Casica Verde have achieved the distinction along with the Juan Montiel and Yacht Club marinas and the Interpretation Center from sea.
The mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, who was very satisfied with the news, stressed that the goal that is imposed year after year the City is to get the highest number of awards for those beaches listed in the water quality program and They have surveillance and first aid service since they are the ones that can qualify for this distinction.
