The aquiline district of Calabardina celebrated its traditional festivities of the Cruz de Mayo this weekend;
an event that brought together a large number of attendees who did not want to miss the extensive program of parties, which did not lack the traditional gangs, which started on Friday and lasted throughout the weekend.
On Sunday, the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, along with the Capalardina pedáneo mayor, Felix Gallego, and other members of the municipal corporation, were in charge of presiding over a day that woke up with the sound of the Sacred Musical Group Crown of thorns and with the celebration of a mass in honor of the Virgen del Carmen and the Cruz de Mayo.
After the religious act began a beautiful procession with the bay and the pier as a backdrop in which the patron saint of fishermen was carried on their shoulders through the streets of this aquiline enclave.
