The distribution unit of Aguilas has just received the First National Award of Excellence 2018, which places it in the first best position among other 480 units that serve locations with less than fifteen postmen.
The award has been delivered in Madrid within the framework of a Recognition Day in which postal employees from all over Spain have participated.
To obtain this award that has an annual nature and evaluates the 2018 results, indicators such as the effective delivery of certificates and notifications, the delivery times of the parcel, the number of claims, the weighted production of the unit or absenteeism are valued.
In this distribution unit that serves this coastal municipality, there are currently 13 employees who work with the approximately 35,000 inhabitants of the town.
This Correos distribution center is located in Alfonso Escámez square and its head is José Antonio Salas who has declared that "without a doubt this award has been achieved thanks to the team work." Without the effort of each and every one of the components of the Águilas unit this would not have been possible, we have worked a lot and with the quality that characterizes us and this is the result ".
The National Award for Excellence rewards the operational units of Correos that efficiently use their resources and stand out for the correctness of their processes and their good results, thus contributing to achieving the company's objectives.
Therefore, this award is used to identify the excellent units and recognize their staff, who day by day, work as a team to offer customers the best quality of service.
The Prize includes eight national categories according to the different types of work centers that make up the postal network.
In addition to the delivery unit of Aguilas, the postmen of Cuellar (Segovia) and Peñafiel (Valladolid) have been second and third respectively in the same category of delivery units of up to fifteen postmen.
