The mayor of Equality in functions, Isabel Torrente, has presented the school program Non-active days that aims "to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life-advanced Torrente- by opening an educational center during vacation periods."
This School of "Non-Lective Days", co-financed by the European Social Fund, the General Directorate for Women of the Region of Murcia and the City Council of the town, aims to be a co-educational space and coexistence through workshops and games.
The schedule will be from 8 to 14 hours at the Ciudad del Mar school and will take place in two periods: the first one from August 1 to 23 and the second in the fall and Christmas period;
days in which the school will open its doors to welcome children between 3 and 12 years old, regardless of the school in which they are enrolled.
In order to apply for this service, it is a prerequisite that both the father and the mother of the students have a work contract or are enrolled in training courses.
Families that meet the requirements may request a seat completely free of charge;
To do so, they will have to submit the application form duly completed in the registration window of Águilas City Hall, with a term of 4 to 24 June.
Once the term is over, a selective process will begin to determine the beneficiary families.
