Águilas Plaza Shopping Center has decided to celebrate Environment Day by joining the challenge #TrashtagChallenge, which is why it has organized, in collaboration with the Arrecife Association, a Route that will culminate in the cleaning of plastics at Cope Beach.
This was announced yesterday by the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the manager of the Shopping Center, Gema Simó, and the president of Arrecife, Pedro Hernández.
The activity will be free and will be held on Saturday June 8, leaving at 9:30 am from the Águilas Plaza Shopping Center in cars to Cope.
Once there, the municipal environment technician, Sebastián Ramírez, will show the participants the fauna and flora of the Cope fountain and its surroundings, to end up on the beach, where the plastic collection will take place.
All participants will receive a cap from Águilas Plaza Shopping Center, Carrefour Águilas and the Arrecife Association.
The manager of Águilas Plaza Shopping Center pointed out that "we have a firm commitment to society and care for the environment, we want to take advantage of the celebration of such an important day as this to raise awareness from our center and contribute our grain of sand to achieve a more sustainable future for the planet. "
Among other environmental initiatives, CC Águilas Plaza has recently collaborated with Ecovidrio, a non-profit organization responsible for managing the recycling of glass waste, to develop educational workshops on the environment to which a large number of children attended.
