Last Wednesday, coinciding with the World Environment Day, the prizes of the 1st edition of the Pedro Costa Morata Awards, included in the Escalpito Project, were presented.
Fishermen of Plastics of the Department of the Environment, in collaboration with ACIA, Hoste Águilas and Ambiente Europeo.

Plastics fishermen is an initiative that aims to reduce the consumption of plastic single-use involving all sectors of the municipality.
To achieve this, different actions have been developed, all around Escalpito, the mascot that gives its name to the project and that has served to make citizens, especially children, identify with this initiative.
To conclude this first stage of the project, a drawing, photography and short contest was held, whose prizes were broken last Wednesday in a ceremony in which the acting environment councilor, Isabel María Torrente, thanked all the centers local education their participation and involvement with this initiative.
