About 45 people participated on Saturday in the Environmental Day Route, organized by Águilas Plaza Shopping Center in collaboration with the Arrecife Association and Carrefour Aguilas.
Among the participants, include the councilor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, and other incoming councilors, as well as the manager of Águilas Plaza Shopping Center, Gema Simó, and the president of Arrecife, Pedro Hernández.
The group departed from the Shopping Center in cars to Cope, where a guided tour was carried out in which Águilas Town Council's Environmental Technician, Sebastián Ramírez, explained curiosities of the native flora, while expressing the importance to become aware of the importance of respecting the environment.
Once in Playa de la Fuente, at the foot of Mount Cope, around 50 kilos of plastic, garbage and above all microplastic were collected.
Back in the Shopping Center, Carrefour offered the participants fresh freshly cut fruit.
