For the fifth consecutive year, the Águilas City Council has once again started up the Summer School project with school meals for children at risk of social exclusion.
The start-up of this summer school, in which children can play and educational activities during the summer, also guarantees these children a breakfast and a full meal a day.
"The commitment of this Government Team is to give priority to people, especially those who are worse off," said the mayor of Education, Francis Gallego.
In this sense, despite the fact that this school has started today at the Ramón y Cajal school, if during the summer Social Services detected new cases of children who might need it, the service will be offered immediately.
On this matter, both the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Education have shown their gratitude both to the Ramón y Cajal center for giving up their facilities, and to Caritas for their involvement in carrying out this project.
